Ajyal Film Festival is the Doha Film Institute’s annual celebration of cinema. We bring audiences of all ages from around the world to discover new stories and hear new voices in a fun and collaborative environment.
Join us in celebrating our seventh annual Ajyal.
18 to 23 November 2019.
Why volunteer?
We would never be able to mount this world-class event without the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers. There are many ways volunteers can get involved at the Festival: help our events team behind the scenes; assist in running our cinemas; or work with young jurors from around the world. Come and be part of this exciting cultural event, gain valuable experience and form lasting relationships.
Who can apply to volunteer?
People with all kinds of skills and all levels of experience are invited to apply, so whether you are a college student, a mid-career professional, or a retiree, we’d love to work with you.
All volunteers are required to commit to working 5 shifts during the six day Festival. Each shift lasts between 3 and 6 hours.
You can volunteer before the Festival, during the Festival, or both, depending on your availability.
Please note that all Ajyal volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Upon receiving your application, the Ajyal Volunteer Team will contact you to invite you to one of our Volunteer Meet and Greets, which take place in October.
Volunteer Department Orientations will be held in early November (you will be individually notified of your assigned department’s date and timing).
